Which means, when you synced your iPhone to the Mac it removed all the previously synced content: Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer However, this process does not work the other way around. When you sync content from a computer to an iOS device (like your iPhone) it syncs content one way, from the Mac to the iOS device. Which means, that the content previously on your Mac is no longer there. It sounds like you had to erase and reinstall Monterey on your MacBook Air. Now you've lost the music that was originally synced with your Mac on your iPhone. I can't figure out how to get the library on my PC to update with the content it should have and am at a loss for what to do. I can sync my phone to this library, and for a brief few moments, my iTunes library on the PC will be updated correctly too. Now, I want to note that we still have a Macbook Pro, and on that, my iTunes library is still as it should be - all content is in the library. When I checked my PC, I noticed my library was suddenly missing all these songs too, though they'd been there just the day before. On Saturday I got a new iPhone, and when I did my restore through iCloud (from a backup done the night before), I realized I was missing a good chunk of my music on my phone, both purchased albums and ones I'd added from CD's.
